Phillip Nakov

Phillip is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 12 years experience in marketing, publicity, content development and promotions. He started his Hollywood career working for the talent management agency run by Nancy Sanders. This was followed by the life-changing role he played on the start-up team at the Hollywood Stock Exchange (HSX.com). In 1998, Phillip co-founded CountingDown.com. The site quickly grew to become one of the largest movie sites on the web and one of the first social networks centered on film. The site was eventually acquired by POP.com (a joint venture of DreamWorks, Imagine Entertainment and Vulcan Ventures) in 2000. In 2004, Phillip started his own digital marketing and PR consultancy, City PR, Inc. In 2006, Phillip was tapped by the ReelzChannel TV network to launch the accompanying network web site. As the VP Business Development and Partnerships for ReelzChannel.com, he was responsible for content, business development and strategic partnerships. Phillip grew the site quickly and made it one of Hollywood’s new favorite web destinations. Phillip graduated from the University of Southern California with a dual Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and French and is a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Interactive Peer Group) and the Producers Guild of America (New Media Council).

Kirk Marsh

Kirk is a serial entrepreneur and comes to MovieSet with over 10 years of experience in the online media industry. Prior to MovieSet, Kirk was involved with Adzilla, Inc., an industry leader in the development and deployment of consumer centric online behavioral targeting. Kirk also founded Cicerone Media Inc., a media and consulting firm providing online media advisory services to Canadian advertisers and web publishers. As a consultant, Kirk assisted early stage media companies in developing their online strategies. In addition, he provided services in the capacity of Media Planner and Media Buyer for media agencies. Prior to this, Kirk was the CTO and COO of Global Com Solutions, an early stage lead generation company.

Dan Holmes

Dan Holmes brings over 17 years of finance experience with Fortune 500, mid-tier and early stage companies to MovieSet. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for MovieSet’s day-to-day operations and all accounting, tax and financial functions. Prior to MovieSet, Holmes was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ascent Media’s Creative Services division, a $250 million division providing video and audio post production services for feature films, television shows and commercials. He was instrumental in creating all of Ascent Media’s budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes and in building the financial planning team to support the organization. Prior to Ascent Media, Holmes has held senior finance positions at the Walt Disney Company, Candle Corporation, Delaware Power Systems Corp. and Carparts.com. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Principia College and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Colleen Nystedt

President & CEO, MovieSet™ As founder, President and CEO of MovieSet™, Colleen Nystedt is responsible for creating and driving the long-term vision for the company. Nystedt blends her extensive experience in film production, finance, business affairs and creative development to guide MovieSet™. She honed her entrepreneurial skills as the founder of New City Productions, which under her leadership became one of the most prolific production companies in Western Canada. She has been a recipient of numerous industry awards including Digital Media People to Watch in BC in 2009, Business in Vancouver – Top 40 Under 40 for Entrepreneurship and the Financial Post -13 Most Important People in the B.C. Film Industry. She is also a sought after speaker and has presented on a number of panels on entrepreneurship and new media. Nystedt holds a bachelor degree in Urban Geography from the University of British Columbia.
